Going for bike rides used to be Joel and Jah’s thing to do on Sunday morning..the boys morning out. It used to be especially helpful when I was pregnant with Bella and needed a slow start to the morning. We fitted Joel’s bicycle with a Yepp Mini, essentially a child bike seat which would carry up to 15 kg. It was a really cool child bike seat for 9 months to about 3 years old which was shock resistant and made of a water resistant material similar to Crocs shoes.

Joel and Jah have stopped going for bike rides for almost a year now,Ā I suppose he now prefers family activities with his mummy and sister (I hope). So we decided that we would make it a family activity to change his mind and also because this was what Joel has been waiting for…Family Bike Rides!
We decided to upgrade Jah to a Yepp Maxi and fit it on my Tokyo Bike since Jah has declared that “meimei goes with papa and Elijah with mummy!” The Yepp Maxi is pretty much similar to the Mini, with awesome colours except that it is suitable for rear fitting. It is mounted easily on top ofĀ the bike’s rear rack and carries up to 22kg (9 months to 6 years old). Most importantly Jah loves it! And soĀ does mummy because it is sooooo easy to install! Love love love!
So yes this past weekend, we attempted our first family bike ride together and I’m happy to say it was a success! (except for Miss Bella-ants-in-her-pants who needs to learn to sit still alittle better) :p We had alot of fun! In fact Jah even said he wanted to do it again next weekend, at the expense of not going on his Penang holiday!!
Well we are definitely going to do it again when we get back from our holiday! Deepavali morning activity, what say you JahBella’s Papa? š Perhaps the ‘village’ might be interested too…

I love your bike! Can you please tell me what sort of pannier rack you used to fix the Yepp maxi seat to your Bisou? Thanks š
